This event is open to EWGA members and non-members.

We’ll be teeing off at 1:00 pm. The cost is $75.00 for EWGA Members and $90.00 for Non-Members, and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner, and prizes.
But don’t delay! The deadline to register is August 9, 2010.
You have two options to register. You can download a form here and mail it to us with a check.
Or you can register online and pay by credit card or Paypal. (If you do choose this method, please note that there is a $3 surcharge to cover processing fees.)
See you on the course!

These women prevailed despite the challenging playing conditions on the day of the tournament — which included a combination of high temps and high winds.
Our stoke play winners and scramble team will next advance to the EWGA Northeast Semi-Final Championship, which is being held on Saturday, August 21 at Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.
Be sure to wish these ladies the very best when you see them next on the golf course! We want to see you all advance to the finals!
Here comes our chapter’s next fun event!
We’re holding a Partner Nine Hole Scotch at Eagle Vale Golf Club in Fairport on Friday, June 18.
We’ll have a 5:30 shotgun start, followed by a 7:30 buffet dinner on the patio.

No handicap is required to participate.
This event is open to EWGA members and non-members.
The cost per Twosome is $90 for EWGA Member/Member pairs, $100 for Member/Guest pairs, and $110 for Non-member/Non-member pairs. (Please note that there is an additional $3.00 processing fee if you pay by credit card or Paypal.)

It was an exciting week for Rochester’s EWGA chapter!
Member Lisa Hoynowski got a hole in one on Wednesday (May 19) while playing our Victor Hills League.
Lisa’s ace came on the East Course #9 (formerly #17), which plays 95 yards from the red tees.
Because this was an EWGA-sanctioned event, the hole in one qualifies Lisa for the EWGA Troon Hole-in-One Club and a complimentary round for four at a Troon golf facility.
Congratulations, Lisa!
Have we got some prizes for you!
The team organizing our May 21 Wine & Nine at Champion Hills has assembled a nice collection of door prizes, including gift certificates to a tanning salon, florist, and two different resturants (Aja Noodle and Otto Tomotto’s), and a gift baskets from Health and Harmony Natural Foods and Sephora salon. Plus how about a cool photo ball marker from this online company?
We’re also giving a prize to the 30th person to register. That could be you!

Looking for a fantastic golf getaway and competitive challenge this summer?
Then how about this: the EWGA is launching a new competition, the Match Play Champion’s Cup — and our chapter is participating.
What is the EWGA Match Play Champions Cup?
The Match Play Champions Cup is an inaugural regional competitive event that will be used as a pilot program to roll out on a national level in 2011.
When: July 31 and August 1, 2010
Where: Crystal Springs Golf Resort, Hamburg, NJ
Details: 2 nights accommodations, 3 rounds of golf (36 holes Saturday, 18 holes Sunday), Saturday night dinner, and Sunday awards barbeque.
Cost: Approximately $535 based on double occupancy, $405 based on four to a room
The EWGA envisions this competition as the organization’s second official major national competition, complementing the EWGA National Championship.
Th Match Play Champions Cup will be a weekend event with 36 holes being played the first day, and 18 holes the second day. The format will consist of Team Match Play competitions held over 3 rounds. Winning Teams will advance through the brackets toward the Match Play Championship Finals. Teams losing in a particular round play in consolation matches, so every team that attends will play all 3 rounds over course of the event.
In this inaugural year, there will be 8 teams with 16 players each. Many of these Teams may consist of several chapters. Chapters may be allocated between 5 and 16 spots on a given Team. Once EWGA national receives all entry forms, it will set the teams.
Click here to download a flier with additional details about the format and process for choosing teams.
Eligibility Requirements
The Match Play Champion’s Cup is designed to be one of the EWGA’s most competitive tournaments and to draw from our lowest handicap players and most competitive golfers across the organization.
To be eligible to participate, you must be an EWGA member in good standing, and have an official USGA or GLMS Handicap Index of 25.0 or less.
Are you ready to commit to the Inaugural Champion’s Cup?
In order to make this a success, we really need to obtain firm commitments from you!
We need the “intent to play form” filled out and returned ASAP.

We’re done — we think — tweaking our new forum!
As we announced in our latest email, we’ve created an online forum where our EWGA chapter members can connect with other members to set up “golf dates.”
This is a private forum. You need to register to post to it — or even view it.
To register, follow the link under FORUM on the left hand sidebar.
And please let us know if you run into problems! This is all new functionality for our site. We think we’ve worked out all the snags. But then, we also thought we were going to play scratch golf last weekend ha ha ha ha ha
You don’t want to miss it!
This is an interactive clinic that will get you started right for the 2010 golf season!
Join us Tuesday, April 27th at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor. Dinner and wine specials start at 5:00 pm. The clinic begins at 6:00 pm.
This clinic is FREE to EWGA members and only $10 for non-members. Read more here.
See you there!
